2026 Family Medicine Revision Course Successfully Concludes in Accra

The 2026 Family Medicine Revision Course was successfully held from 13th to 24th July 2026 at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (GCPS), Accra, bringing together Family Medicine trainees from across the country in preparation for the upcoming Membership Examinations.

The intensive two-week programme was organised through a collaborative effort between the Society of Family Physicians of Ghana (SOFPOG), the Faculty of Family Medicine of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (GCPS), and the Faculty of Family Medicine of the West African College of Physicians (WACP), Ghana Chapter.

Participants benefited from a comprehensive series of lectures, case discussions, and interactive learning sessions facilitated by experienced Family Medicine specialists and educators. The course was carefully designed to strengthen candidates’ clinical knowledge, enhance examination readiness, and build confidence ahead of the Membership Examinations.

The organisers express their sincere appreciation to all facilitators, resource persons, and participants whose commitment and active engagement contributed to the success of the revision course. This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of SOFPOG, GCPS, and WACP (Ghana Chapter) to advancing postgraduate medical education and strengthening the practice of Family Medicine in Ghana and the West African sub-region.
