SOFPOG BREAST CANCER SEMINAR

One of the cornerstones of the Society of Family Physicians of Ghana (SOFPOG) October Breast Cancer awareness campaign is a symposium that brings together healthcare experts, survivors, patients, and advocates. The theme for this event, to be held on Thursday 19th of October, is ” The Journey Through Breast Cancer: Current trends in management.”

It will provide a platform for open dialogue and information-sharing about breast cancer. Dr Priscilla Vandyck-Sey, Dr Florence Dedey and Dr Mary-Ann Quarcoopome will address common myths surrounding breast cancer, such as misconceptions about risk factors, treatment options (surgical and non-surgical), and outcomes. Stakeholders in the Health Sector in Ghana will also express their views on how they are helping in the fight against Breast cancer.

Attendees will gain valuable insights into breast cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of a holistic approach to patient care.
