Celebrating New Fellows and Members: Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons Welcomes 28 Family Physicians and 3 Fellows

In a momentous ceremony held at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra on December 5th and 6th, 2023, the GCPS inducted a cohort of dedicated healthcare professionals. Among them, 28 newly qualified family physicians were welcomed as esteemed members of the GCPS.

The event not only marked the induction of these 28 individuals into the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons but also had three Family Physicians inducted as Fellows of the esteemed postgraduate medical training institution—Drs. Gordon Amoh, Baaba Damoah, and Gertrude Acquah-Hagan achieved this remarkable feat through a culmination of rigorous training, dedication, and a commitment to the principles of excellence in Family Medicine. Their induction not only signifies personal achievement but also promises a continued elevation of healthcare standards within the Ghanaian Family Medicine Fraternity.

The Society of Family Physicians of Ghana (SOFPOG) extends its warmest congratulations to these newly inducted members and Fellows.
