Gold Fields Ghana Foundation Medical Outreach Held as Part of the 12th SOFPOG AGSM

As part of the 12th Society of Family Physicians of Ghana (SOFPOG) Annual General and Scientific Meeting (AGSM), the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation successfully organized a Medical Outreach programme on Saturday, 16 May 2026, in Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana, aimed at improving access to healthcare services for community members. The outreach was held at Brahabobom M/A School Park and Chosen Vessel Church Premises.

The programme provided free health screening services including blood pressure checks, malaria testing, eye screening, ENT and dental assessment, hepatitis B screening, and other essential health services. Participants also benefited from medical consultation, counselling, medications, and NHIS registration and renewal services.

The outreach forms part of ongoing efforts to promote preventive healthcare, encourage early detection of health conditions, and improve the overall wellbeing of community members.

The success of the programme was made possible through collaboration with dedicated healthcare professionals, volunteers, and partner organizations committed to advancing community health.
