HIGHLIGHTS ON FREE MEDICAL SCREENING AT ABURA DUNKWA HOSPITAL BY THE SOCIETY OF FAMILY PHYSICIANS OF GHANA (SOFPOG)

Over 500 community members in the AAK district and its environs had benefited from a free medical screening organised by the Society of Family Physicians of Ghana (SOFPOG) at the Abura Dunkwa Hospital on 17th May, 2023. This forms part of activities to commemorate the 2023 World Family Doctor Day.

In attendance were the President and the Organizing Secretary of the Association. Also, the DDHS and her team, reps from the District Assembly, and reps from the AAK traditional council led by the Omanhene were all present to support the program.

The outreach covered health education &promotion, breast screening, general medical&surgical consultation, Paediatric consultation, Oral health screening, E.N.T screening, eye screening and the provision of medicines.

The Paramount Chief of the Abura Dunkwa traditional area thanked the AAK DHMT and the Hospital Management for bringing the outreach program to the doorsteps of the community members in the AAK district.
